A wedding brings together people who are often meeting for the first time. Family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances come together – and taking the first step is not always easy. This is exactly where the Wedding Mystery Game comes in.
Instead of a traditional wedding game, your guests are drawn into an exciting criminal case in which everyone plays an important role.
A wedding game everyone takes part in
Shortly before the ceremony, the ring box disappears. Coincidence or intention?
Each guest receives a secret role. Some are witnesses, others suspects, and a few take on the role of detectives. Together, they collect clues, check alibis and question suspects until the case is solved.
The special thing about it: nobody simply sits at the table and watches – everyone becomes part of the story.
Modern role assignment via QR code
Instead of handing out paper cards, roles are assigned digitally.
Guests simply scan the QR code with their smartphone, enter their name and immediately receive their personal role.
This keeps all information secret and ensures everyone sees only their own task.
The QR code can be placed on the welcome sign, a tabletop sign or a small card on each table, for example.
Try the role assignment yourself once so you know what your guests can expect. Try the names Lisa or Anna.
The perfect icebreaker and ideal for programme breaks
Especially at the beginning of a celebration, many guests do not know each other yet.
With the Wedding Mystery Game, conversations start naturally. Witnesses exchange observations, suspects explain their alibis and the detectives conduct their investigation.
Without awkward introductions, a relaxed atmosphere develops in which your guests quickly get to know one another.
The game works particularly well:
- during the couple's photo shoot
- during the drinks reception
- between two programme items
- or as entertainment before dinner
The recommended playing time depends on the number of guests:
- up to 30 guests: approx. 30 minutes
- up to 50 guests: approx. 45 minutes
- up to 100 guests: approx. 60 minutes
Anyone who has not had enough of solving the mystery can of course keep investigating for as long as they like.
The little detectives are included too
So that even the youngest wedding guests can be part of the Wedding Mystery Game, you can optionally add hidden-object pictures, word searches and colouring pages that match the game.
In the hidden-object pictures children look for hidden letters that form a solution word. This provides an important clue and helps the adults with their investigation.
In the word searches they look for words connected with the wedding and the criminal case – naturally matched to the story.
For the very youngest guests, lovingly designed colouring pages in the Wedding Mystery design are available so they can stay creatively occupied during the game.
This turns the Wedding Mystery Game into an experience for the whole family – from the youngest junior detective to the adult investigators.
